The design brief is to create a cosy first home for the newly-weds after leaving their family nest. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, of which 2 were converted into home offices and it proved to be very useful during the pandemic. The wife’s office was a hybrid of a dressing room and a library showcasing books she collected over the years through her profession as a jewellery specialist. The husband’s office transforms into an E-gaming and DJ room with colour-changing LED lights in the evenings.
One of the criteria by the couple was to create a semi-open kitchen that connects to the dining area for entertainment purposes. Smart home control system was also a very important feature and we worked together to make sure it integrates into the interior design seamlessly during the construction.
The material palette was based on a neutral tone with a more feminine touch inside the wife’s study and the ensuite Master bathroom. As the couple is keen on being sustainable, we have tried to source the materials available in the local market as much as possible.
